Welcome

Michaelchurch Escley is a beautifully situated hamlet approximately 12 miles from Hereford city and lying in the foothills of the famous Black Mountains along the equally famous Golden Valley. The area is totally unspoilt and is a scattered mix of farmland, woodland and small village communities. We are very proud of our small, happy, rural school where we are the focus for many village activities. Our school is an active member of the "Golden Valley Pyramid" of schools which include three other sister primary schools and Fairfield High School in Peterchurch village, which is the unofficial capital of the Golden Valley. Many varied trips and activities together with sporting tournaments are held throughout the year with the Pyramid and it is through this strong association we are able to deliver things some larger primary schools can only dream about.
