Vision
Our vision is to produce children who are happy, self-confident and achieving their fullest potential.
At Micahelchurch we prepare children so they can confidently take the next step into secondary education with enthusiasm.
The School Aims
The Ethos of the School
Respect should be shown at all times to all staff, children, parents and anyone associated with the school and the activities undertaken therein. We aim to encourage and foster in every child the positive impact of high self-esteem. This includes positive attitudes towards self, belief in one’s own abilities and a constant endeavour to achieve his/her personal best, both intellectually and physically.
We believe also that children should be encouraged to appreciate the differing needs of others and respect the feelings of others. Throughout our work, high regard is given to the pupil’s moral, cultural, social and spiritual development. Our aims are related to your child’s intellectual, physical, aesthetic, spiritual, emotional and personal, social and moral development.
Charter of Values
The School has developed a Charter of Values that can be found on the following page. This demonstrates the aims of the school, pupils, parents, staff and governors of Michaelchurch Escley Primary School
The Charter of Values
The School, through the children, staff, Governors and parents, wishes to actively encourage;
Equal valuing of all persons as persons;
Respect for truth, honesty, genuineness and politeness;
Care, sensitivity and compassion for others;
Individual responsibility for learning and actions;
Commitment to the long-term improvement of human life and the environment.
In order to work towards these commitments we must all try :-
Residential trip
Year 5 and 6 pupils are given the opportunity to participate in an annual residential trip to an outdoor and adventurous pursuits centre. This trip is run with one or more of the Pyramid Primaries to allow our children to make friends within their peer group who they shall be joining at High School.
Extra-curricular Clubs
Activities beyond the school day such as after school clubs are open to specific year groups and are run on a voluntary basis by staff and some parents.
